River stone Shamanism recorded as a rock pictograph. Some people claim that yoga is as old as civilization itself. There is no proof of this. The earliest archaeological evidence is found in stone seals which depict yoga poses, dated 3000 BC.
My rock's date is unknown. I found it on a rocky island beach. The island, splitting the Delaware River and its rapids in half. There it was in 5 pointed star pose, soaking in the sun, at river's edge.
Lightly treated in photoshop.
Deep within my spirit lies the need to express myself. Through my art I am able to continue this process and strive for ways to improve my craft. My paintings are a contemporary fusion. I allow them to go in a number of directions from loose, to a more representational style. Not easily classified, my art embodies aspects of Abstract, Expressionism, Impressionism, Symbolism, and Surrealism. A true reflection of my own multi-dimensional nature.
