Description
A magical, intuitive painting from '02. Caribou is a strong symbol of a personal/spiritual journey. Antlers are grown by both male and female caribou-unique among cervid species. A duality of energies. A reminder to be flexible in our role, and balance the masculine/feminine.
Antlers are an ancient symbol of antennae. The crownings that activate the upper chakras of the head. Caribou massage their antlers to remove the velvet covering, which symbolically releases the past. Each year the antlers detach from the Caribou, late fall or early winter for the males (after the rut) and female Caribou after they calf. The dropping of the horns represents a complete release and detachment from the past, rebirth and renewal in the ongoing circle of life, and a small gift from the Caribou back to Mother Nature. Caribou tells us that the journey may be long, but we have the strength, endurance, fortitude, and perseverance to reach our destination. Trust your instincts!

I agree with Veikko on this. I feel the warmth of the sun here while the air is cold which makes for a delightful combination to experience, Susan. Well done.......................FAV / LIKE
