Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The summer sun, hidden under the clouds of a passing storm. A single scull takes advantage of the end of summer on the Delaware River.
A panel of 3 jurors voted independently and accepted this painting into the 5th Annual Juried Friends of the Delaware Canal Art Show and Sale at The Rich Timmons Gallery Doylestown, P.A.
This years jurors were Bruce Katsiff Director /CEO of the James A. Michener Art Museum in Bucks County from 1989 to 2012. Adrienne Romano Director of Education at the James A. Michener Art Museum, and Tony Seraphin Owner of the Seraphin Gallery, a contemporary Philadelphia art gallery.
There were 500 works submitted by 132 artists.
About Susan Esbensen
Deep within my spirit lies the need to express myself. Through my art I am able to continue this process and strive for ways to improve my craft. My paintings are a contemporary fusion. I allow them to go in a number of directions from loose, to a more representational style. Not easily classified, my art embodies aspects of Abstract, Expressionism, Impressionism, Symbolism, and Surrealism. A true reflection of my own multi-dimensional nature.
