A digitally enhanced/digitally painted image from a photograph taken at Moorland Farm, Far Hills, N.J.
'The Far Hills Race Meeting traces its origins to the Essex Hunt, a fox hunting event founded in Montclair, NJ in 1870'.
'In 1916, the event moved from the original club site to the Grant B. Schley estate today known as Moorland Farm. Eventually becoming the Far Hills Race Meeting, the races have been continually runwith the exception of a short hiatus during World War IIon the same site'.
The 96th running of the Far Hills Race Meet takes place on October 15, 2016.
About Susan Esbensen
Deep within my spirit lies the need to express myself. Through my art I am able to continue this process and strive for ways to improve my craft. My paintings are a contemporary fusion. I allow them to go in a number of directions from loose, to a more representational style. Not easily classified, my art embodies aspects of Abstract, Expressionism, Impressionism, Symbolism, and Surrealism. A true reflection of my own multi-dimensional nature.
