In the Taoist alchemical traditions, the third eye is the frontal part of the "Upper Dan Tien" (upper cinnabar field) and was given the evocative name "muddy pellet".
About Susan Esbensen
Deep within my spirit lies the need to express myself. Through my art I am able to continue this process and strive for ways to improve my craft. My paintings are a contemporary fusion. I allow them to go in a number of directions from loose, to a more representational style. LOVE the chunky textures...the first thing I thought in viewing this was that I was gliding across valleys and planes, perhaps traveling to a distant place through my minds eye where I can see far in the distance....I really like that your pieces take me to a different place when viewing them...there is so much to them if you really look ! f/l/g+
