About Susan Esbensen
Deep within my spirit lies the need to express myself. Through my art I am able to continue this process and strive for ways to improve my craft. My paintings are a contemporary fusion. I allow them to go in a number of directions from loose, to a more representational style. Not easily classified, my art embodies aspects of Abstract, Expressionism, Impressionism, Symbolism, and Surrealism. A true reflection of my own multi-dimensional nature. One can never have enough horses...I'm loving this beautiful equine masterpiece and really like how one horse is looking back at the riders, plus the colors rock...

Thanks Karen...I have to admit that this painting was started in '92 and remained a landscape until the two horses in the foreground were added last year. It still needed something. So I decided to add the western riders recently. Now ift feels complete.
