I love this kind of Abstract ...L/F
Susan Esbensen replied:
Thank you so much Daniel! I love when things bubble up from the subconscious mind!

You know how a horse feels when it is entered into the puissance. That power jump where the wall is raised after every round. You know the attitude that the horse must have! That horse must exude tremendous confidence...it must be beyond brave...it must be more than arrogant...it must have the aura of a superhero.(She holds herself like the Holy Grsil) They don't look at your pictures...they look at you...show them who you really are... T. Abstracta are not ever enough ...you know what your subject matter should be...use the object.

Is this the Wetigo painting? It has a powerful presence...with a strong use of red pigment ( I am sure you have good reasons, but I miss your previous profile self portrait, as much for your profile as that red barn background). Have you ever painted a self portrait?
Susan Esbensen replied:
I guess it could be an earlier one Tighe. This is from the 80's. Look for the one titled "Wetiko." The day I found the article and sent it along, I felt compelled to paint. No self-portrait. Just one painting with a figure that shares a resemblance to me. Currently not in my gallery.
