LOVE the chunky textures...the first thing I thought in viewing this was that I was gliding across valleys and planes, perhaps traveling to a distant place through my minds eye where I can see far in the distance....I really like that your pieces take me to a different place when viewing them...there is so much to them if you really look ! f/l/g+

Susan Esbensen replied:

What a great comment Lisa! I really appreciate it. I am working on another piece, that is also a journey piece, but surealistic and more detailed.

I allow them to go in a number of directions from loose, to a more representational style. Not easily classified, my art embodies aspects of Abstract, Expressionism, Impressionism, Symbolism, and Surrealism. A true reflection of my own multi-dimensional nature. The mood of the color scheme, the under-painting, my emotional input, my reaction to the world around me at that time, the soul and the drama of the subject, whether real or imagined creates a unique vision.
